Thank You to all Frontline Healthcare Workers!
This week, October 17-23, is a week for Alaskans to say thank you to healthcare workers for all the work they have done throughout the pandemic to keep Alaskans safe.
Copper River Native Association joins Co-Chairs of the House Health & Social Services (HSS), Rep. Liz Snyder, and Rep. Tiffany Zulkosky in recognizing frontline healthcare workers across Alaska, who continue the ongoing battle against COVID-19.
How can you show appreciation for these professionals? Some easy ideas include:
You can help CRNA honor your local healthcare heroes by visiting the CRNA Facebook page where we will be highlighting team members daily or post your own CRNA story using the hashtag #CRNAfrontlines.
Want to get the kids involved? Drop off handmade cards or drawings to be displayed in the CRNA primary care lobby.
Most importantly, follow CDC and health recommendations that will slow the spread of COVID-19, like getting vaccinated, wearing a mask in public, practicing social distancing, and washing your hands often.
- We currently offer the COVID-19 vaccine for people 12 years of age and older
- We offer a recommended booster dose (Pfizer Comirnaty), available 6 months after Pfizer Primary Series for those age 65 and over, those with underlying medical conditions and age 18 and over, and those at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and age 18 and over. This booster is currently not recommended for individuals that received a primary series other than Pfizer.
- Vaccines recommendations continue to be reviewed for expanded use and eligibility by manufacturers and the FDA.
