TEFAP

Commodity Food Items

The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) is a federal program that helps supplement the diets of low-income Americans by providing them with emergency food assistance at no cost. Eligibility is based on household income; applications can be obtained at or by calling the CRNA Food Pantry.

Example of common contents on the shelves: cheese, juice, dry beans, canned fruit and vegetables, peanut butter, rice, powdered milk, rolled oats and frozen meat.

• Our dedicated employees are working from home and can facilitate your needs.

• Food bank services will continue to operate on adjusted hours: 9am-12pm and 1pm – 4pm, Tuesday and Thursday. Please call in advance. CSFP

Commodity Senior Food Box

The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) works to improve the health of low-income persons at least 60 years of age by supplementing their diets with nutritious USDA Foods Eligibility is based on household income; applications can be obtained at or by calling the CRNA Food Pantry.

These boxes are pre boxed and sealed. Example of contents: juice, cereal, canned vegetables, milk, cheese

Community Initiative Matching Grant (CIMG) awarded by the State of Alaska helps meet the needs of people in the Copper River Region.

CIMG Clothing

For eligible recipients this program provides clothing, such as; boots, coats, hats, gloves, snow pants, socks and shoes

Eligible individuals must either be homeless and/or meet the income eligibility requirement to receive these services.

CIMG Personal Hygiene

For eligible recipients, this program provides personal hygiene products, such as; shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, body wash, tooth brushes, tooth paste, combs, feminine products, diapers, wipes, etc.

Eligible individuals must either be homeless and/or meet the income eligibility requirement to receive these services.

CIMG Emergency Gear

For eligible recipients, this program provides emergency gear, such as; tents, sleeping bags, shoe laces, emergency blankets, candles, fire sticks, matches, etc.

Eligible individuals must both be homeless and meet the income eligibility requirement to receive these services.

CIMG Transportation

For eligible recipients, this program provides transportation payment to Soaring Eagle for medical, dental, behavior health or optometry appointments at CRNA, Cross Road Medical Center or Anchorage.

Eligible individuals must meet the income eligibility requirement to receive these services.

ELIGIBILITY:

INCOME: Permanent Fund Dividend; did anyone in your household receive the current year’s PFD?
If YES, include the PFD amount received in your Annual Household Income at the time of applying.

*For each additional household member, add $17,040.
